Topic: The Wait
We celebrated the 4th anniversary of First Friday with cookies as many of us brought cookies to exchange. Dan showed a video and then talked about priorities, time and the wait. It was a very uplifting message. The wait was described as IT IS just as God refers to himself as I AM. It is hard to learn to wait and to be thankful for what you have and not what you wish. God does hear all prayers, but some are not answered in the ways we expect. We are all learning to approach prayer in a manner of thankfulness. Thank you Dan!!

Keynote Speaker: Jeannie Butler - Annabelle's Wish
Jeannie Butler, founder of Annabelle’s Wish. Jeannie began Annabelle’s Wish 12 years ago and continues to send supplies and to work with and care for the needs of children in 11 orphanages in China. She has been very inspiring and her commitment to these orphans is amazing! Jeannie will host our first First Friday group to China this fall. Thank you Jeannie for your heart and all you do for these children.

First Fridays hosted an interactive discussion on what to expect in the transitions that occur during and after adoption. New programs were launched including our Life Line and Rescue Chef programs that will provide new opportunities to assist families as they bring their child home.
